NCJW Inc. welcomed a new CEO this past June. Sheila Katz joined our National organization this summer after working with Hillel International for 12 years. Sheila, at age 35, was Senior Vice President for student engagement and leadership.
Sheila brings that youthful, yet determined, spirit to NCJW at a time when it is sorely needed. As she stated in an interview with Washington Jewish Week recently, she "will be focused on advocating and lobbying on four issues central to the Jewish Feminist organization's mission: reproductive rights and access to health care, a strong and independent judiciary, civic engagements and voting rights, and promoting inclusive policies in Israel."
Beatrice Kahn, NCJW Inc's President, said of Sheila, "Through her deep experience giving a voice to young activists and developing innovative approaches to critical problems in the Jewish Community, Sheila has her finger on the pulse of today's women's movement."
We at NCJW Palm Beach wish Sheila the best of luck and look forward to meeting her in person at a future event.
