Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 9 from 4-5 PM.
This month’s book discussion will center on Out of Darkness/Shining Light by Pettina Gappah, a Zimbabwean writer. Venture into the heart of the Congo on a perilous 1500 mile journey to carry the body of Dr. Livingstone to the coast to be buried in his home in England. The novel encompasses all the hypocrisy of colonization and humanity, yet celebrates resilience, loyalty, and love.
