The Kids Community Closet at Heritage Elementary School was opened in May of 2018. Heritage is a Title 1 school that is located on Melaleuca Lane in Greenacres and services nearly 800 students in grades K through 5. The faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for the students. The school motto is “Educate, Affirm, Inspire”. Students at Heritage feel loved, safe, and supported.
Assistant Principal Adriana Gonzalez states “The Kids Closet at our school has made a positive impact on a large number of our students. The children are very happy to receive the new clothes and shoes. I believe there is a definite positive relationship between happiness and academic performance. Thank you for supporting our students and making our kids happy!”
