Literary Luncheon with Talia Carner
The National Council of Jewish Women, Palm Beach Section held its opening event on Thursday, November 8 at the Club At Ibis. Over 300 women attended our Literary Luncheon featuring Talia Carner, author of such books of Puppet Child, China Doll, Jerusalem Maiden and most recently Hotel Moscow.
Ms. Carner focused on her most recent book Hotel Moscow detailing her personal experiences while she visited St. Petersburg in 1993 and witnessed the harrowing living conditions, the women’s desire to succeed in democracy and the Anti-Semitism she witnessed all during the fall of communism.
