KIDS COMMUNITY CLOSET VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL BUSY
Although school in Palm Beach County is out for the summer, Kids Community Closets’ volunteers are still busy. In the weeks before school ended, all our volunteers visited their assigned schools and took a complete inventory of the clothing. Orders have already been placed with the manufacturer to ensure our closets are fully stocked when school starts in early August.
Over the summer grants will be written to obtain the funds to support most of our closets. We have been fortunate to receive grants from the BallenIsles Charities Foundation and the Quantum Foundation for the past several years. The last item on the KCC summer agenda is to work with the Migrant Education Program of Palm Beach County Schools to determine the direction of our 19th Kids Community Closet that was opened in November 2023.
