NCJW’s DIGNITY PROJECT brings personal care items to The Lord’s Place for their outreach workers to bring to “unhoused women”. The Dignity Bags bring comfort to the recipients and give the outreach workers an opening for a conversation with the goal being to get these women social services, temporary housing and ultimately permanent housing. In January we expanded the 3-year-old program to include Dignity Bags for men.

With a very much appreciated grant from the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of West Palm Beach we will be able to continue serving both women and men, and increase the number of items in each Dignity Bag. Dianne Goldin, Gail Siegel and Judy Traub attended a reception for grant recipients at the church the first week of  February and thanked the Holy Trinity community for their generosity and confidence in our Dignity Bags project.
