On November 13th, NCJW Palm Beach celebrated its 50th Anniversary with 260 attendees at the Fountains Country Club.
The room was decorated in gold and black with magnificent centerpieces created by our own Sandi Winnick.
The celebration began with a selection of hors d’oevres followed by a wonderful plated lunch.
The highlight of the afternoon was a very special performance of Bubby’s Kitchen, created by and starring Cantor Shira Ginsburg.
The show was performed around Shira’s grandmother’s kitchen table, where family stories were told and food (homemade, of course) represented the backdrop to family gatherings. As Shira said, “Food represented love.”
Shira was inspired by the stories of her grandparents’ heroism during the Holocaust. As partisans, they lived in the woods for two years doing whatever they could to save as many Jews as possible. It was truly an inspiring story with music and song to warm the heart.

“We laughed, we cried, we even had some rugelach!”
