2019 Woman In Power Honoring Diane Gilman- Queen of Jeans Founder and CEO of DG2

On Friday, February 1, Palm Beach Section held its annual Woman in Power Luncheon and Boutique. This event honors a woman who has risen to great heights in a particular industry or profession through sheer perseverance, spiritual instincts, and courage.

This year, our Section honored Home Shopping Network's "Queen of Jeans", Diane Gilman. The nearly 400 attendees were given a wonderful shopping experience and a fabulous luncheon at the Club at Mirasol. Diane shared her story of how she rose from a "Cool Rock Chick," designing clothes for rock stars like Jimmy Hendricks and Janis Joplin, to the #1 tele-retailer of all time, recently celebrating her 25th Anniversary on HSN with sales of over 10,000,000 pair of jeans.

Diane also shared her philosophy of life..."age is just a number," "never give in," never give up," and "it's never too late." It's a philosophy to keep in mind.
